coming through northeastern tennessee into western north carolina as rain. through areas of georgia and, in fact, that area of low pressure that's producing all of this precipitation, is still in texas. we have just a little bit of snow showing up on the western side of all of that in western oklahoma. it is this leading edge of rain that will start falling around our area tomorrow. so not a lot changed since yesterday. still looking like nothing more than a nuisance storm. still mostly rain for us which is light snowfall to no accumulation at all. all depends on where you are. i do not think that we are going to have big-time problems with any wintry precipitation but do i think that our evening rush tomorrow could be slow with rain that will be falling across the area. our temperatures today under that sunshine we are in the 50s. mid and upper 50s throughout our area from college park at 58 to bowie at 56. rockville at 56 degrees. point belvoir in 57 degrees. from montgomery village, maryland, falling through the 40s. under a clear sky. dry tonight. we will talk more about this sy

mountains of north carolina. it will eventually move south of us. it's a good track, get off the north carolina coast and scoot offshore pretty quickly. high clouds are moving in, but remember, we will be dry in the morning. it's a dry morning commute and a wet evening commute. notice i didn't say snow- covered roads for the evening. just a wet commute. the rain will turn to a mix of snow by evening. but temperatures will be above 32 through 7:00. even well north and west of town. the best chance for falling snow will be between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m., primarily north and west. we'll keep it a trace to two inches. i think it will be closer to a trace to one inch. here's what we think will happen. maybe 9/10ths up in frederick. we've been doing this all winter, instead of talking about inches, talking about tenths of inches. certainly we'll see an inch or two west of the divide. there are advisories out for garrett county and down toward much of west virginia on the other side of the divide. tonight we're looking at clear skies early, then breezy and just chilly. clouds come in late. by mo

, sleet, and snow. we can track it from north carolina back all the way into the northern plains up into wisconsin and minnesota. here's what it looks like on radar. as far as the snow goes, that's mostly confined to iowa, southern minnesota, almost all of central wisconsin, chicago. then we're still watching some freezing rain down through the ohio valley. watch out in ohio and indiana, especially. a little coating of ice overnight. now a wintry mess through areas of west virginia too. even down in areas of virginia. as i mentioned, widespread winter storm that has weakened since yesterday. i think the worst of it right now, a heavy burst of snow, southern michigan p the milwaukee area. that will be heading up to madison and green bay throughout your morning commute. later today to tomorrow, heavy rain will develop through the deep south. we could see 2 to 3 inches of rain in southern georgia. eventually, that storm will come up the east coast. here's a snowstorm saturday into sunday. 6 to 12 inches portland to concord. you notice, boston, providence, new york city, lesser amounts than
